On Monday morning there was a frightening incident at Vienna's Westbahnhof: a 34-year-old Ukrainian threatened a woman with a knife during an argument. When they arrived, the suspect had already voluntarily handed the knife over to the ÖBB security staff. A subsequent alcohol test showed that he had a blood alcohol level of over three per mille. Gas station robbery in Wiener Neustadt

At just about the same time that incidents in Vienna were making headlines, an armed robbery occurred at a gas station in Wiener Neustadt. The perpetrator, a hooded man, threatened loudly courier.at the only employee present with a kitchen knife about 30 cm long and demanded money from her. The attack occurred on the night of Sunday, March 2nd, around 4 a.m. Despite a manhunt that was immediately launched, the perpetrator, who was noticeably short at around 160 cm tall and said to have a foreign accent, was able to escape and has not yet been caught. This gas station has been the target of robberies several times in the past, which puts additional strain on the security situation.
