On Monday morning there was a frightening incident at Vienna's Westbahnhof: a 34-year-old Ukrainian threatened a woman with a knife during an argument. When they arrived, the suspect had already voluntarily handed the knife over to the ÖBB security staff. A subsequent alcohol test showed that he had a blood alcohol level of over three per mille. Despite his preliminary arrest, he was released after his interrogation, which caused further confusion. Fortunately, the incident did not result in any injuries.

Gas station robbery in Wiener Neustadt

At just about the same time that incidents in Vienna were making headlines, an armed robbery occurred at a gas station in Wiener Neustadt.
