Internet fraud! Flachgauer loses 3,200 euros from a brazen mesh
Flachgau, Österreich - A horrific fraud is shaken by the Flachgau! A 49-year-old man was the victim of a refined internet fraud after giving up a sales advertisement on an online platform at the end of November. An unknown person showed interest and then called for the victim's phone number. On December 19, the Flachgauer received an apparently tempting purchase offer from another account, which he accepted through the official purchase method of the platform. But in the meantime he also got a messenger message to discuss details, followed by a fake SMS with a link. The most fatal about it? The man clicked on the link and triggered a series of debit!
As soon as he had pressed on the link, he was facilitated by shocking 3,200 euros. In this outrageous case, the police are now investigating how unscrupulous fraudsters can act on the Internet. According to the press report, the investigation is running to grasp the perpetrator and prevent other victims. It is urgently warned against clicking on unmatched links, especially if you appear in connection with purchase offers.
