Brutal raids: Perpetrator from Linz in court - shocking details!
At the train station in Steyr, a shocking attack occurred in the evening. Two young perpetrators, a 16-year-old and his 12-year-old accomplice, urged a 16-year-old girl with a knife to hand over cigarettes and cash. After the attack, the two fled and climbed into a train to Linz. Thanks to a quick alarm from the police and pictures from a surveillance camera, the alleged perpetrators could be identified immediately at the Linz main train station, such as orf.at reported . On arrival, a folding knife was found that was potentially in the hands of the perpetrators. The 16-year-old was arrested and brought to the Linz judiciary.
This event is in contrast to another incident at the Linz Central Station, which was reported by krone.at . On April 12, 2024, three boys aged 14 and 15 were victims of extreme violence. The perpetrators lured their victims with the offer of a joint from the station area and then brought them to a remote park. There they were brutally beaten and humiliated. Particularly frightening: one of the boys was forced to kneel before the attackers massively abused him. This act of violence caused horror even with the experienced youth judge - in 30 years she had never experienced such attacks.
The accused stated in court that they had thought of robbing the boys, which ultimately resulted in a "violent excess". The present monitoring images and confessions of the perpetrators led to short, hard judgments: they received prison terms between ten and 15 months. One of the heavy deeds for the younger defendant was punished with an additional penalty. This case of youth crime throws a bright light on the problems with which the school children are confronted today.
