Bank robbery in Vienna-Meidling: large police police!

On Wednesday morning, December 11th, 11:03 a.m., a bank branch in Vienna-Meidling, in Meidlinger Hauptstraße, was attacked. A previously unknown perpetrator entered the bank and threatened the employees with a supposed firearm before he fled cash with an unknown sum. According to the state police directorate, a police spokesman confirmed that no one was injured during the robbery. An intensive alarm search is currently underway, reports vienna.at

The attack led to a massive police operation in the region around the corner of Meidlinger Hauptstraße and Pohlgasse. Numerous civil servants were used on site both in uniform and civilian. The situation was reported that it was quiet, but a message was attached to the bank's front door: "Due to the attack! We ask the inconvenience to excuse!" The use of the police also impaired the company of the Vienna Public, where the bus line 9a was temporarily redirected, as from reported.

The exact circumstances of the raid and the amount of the prey are currently still unknown. The police have started the investigation and asks the population for clues.
