In a dramatic incident on Wednesday, a masked man with a gun entered a bank branch on Meidlinger Hauptstrasse and demanded the employees hand over cash. The perpetrator, who was masked with sunglasses, a scarf and a cap, left the bank with 5,000 euros. This reports Today.at.
The search measures initiated immediately were initially unsuccessful. But the detectives didn't let up and were able to temporarily arrest the 31-year-old Austrian at his home address just a few hours later. During the arrest, not only the murder weapon was seized, but also the clothing the man wore during the attack.
