Michael Kögl confirmed in office with 96.8% – Young generation sets an example!

In a spectacular re-election, Michael Kögl, the charismatic JG federal chairman, has once again won the trust of the delegates with an excellent 96.8 percent at today's Young Generation (JG) federal conference in Salzburg. SPÖ federal party leader Andreas Babler didn't miss the opportunity to personally congratulate Kögl and his team and thereby reaffirm his support for the committed voice of young people in Austria. “In the last two years, Michael Kögl has shown outstanding commitment,” praised Babler and emphasized that challenges such as the climate crisis and the inflation crisis particularly affect the young generation.

Babler, who emphasized at the press conference that the SPÖ, together with the young generation, will do everything in its power to represent the concerns of young people throughout Austria, expressed optimism about future cooperation with the re-elected chairman. “Together with Michael Kögl and the strong Young Generation team, we are committed to the concerns of young people with all our might,” he explained and emphasized the importance of strong representation for young people. Michael Kögl, who is also active as a local councilor in St. Pölten, will therefore continue to play a central role in Austria's political landscape while bringing the voice of young people to the fore, as also described on the SPÖ website.

A strong team for young people

Kögl's re-election shows the trust and hopes that the JG has in active and positive politics for young people. With Kögl at the helm, the young generation in Austria will increasingly stand up for their rights and seek long-term solutions to current challenges. The SPÖ underlines its goal of strengthening the interests of young people and ensuring that their concerns occupy a central position in the political agenda.
