SPÖ Meidling: Start of the campaign with clear goals and passionate team!

On March 17, 2025, the SPÖ Meidling started its election campaign at the Meidlinger Markt with an impressive start. Despite changeable weather, over 80 committed activists gathered: inside, in order to present the district and local council candidates and the core claims of the party. District head Wilfried Zankl and the council chairman Jörg Neumayer were supported by city councilor Ulli Sima, who emphasized her vision of an improved quality of life for Meidling. It underlined the importance of citizen participation and named concrete projects that are supposed to change urban design sustainably. Zankl emphasized: "It is up to us to further improve the quality of life for the many in our district", such as reported.

As part of the event, several central projects were presented, including the redesigned Reschgarten and the flowering Meidlinger Markt, which should serve as examples of how urban areas can be actively and can be redesigned. Neumayer motivated the participants: Inside for the upcoming campaign days and promised to inspire citizens: inside of the positive developments in Meidling.

District conference for advanced ideas

The district conference of the SPÖ Meidling took place at the end of March, in which the contents of the discussions were in the foreground. Neumayer gave insights into his first year as the district chairman and emphasized the high number of participation in the conference. Together with official: Inside and experts, the SPÖ Meidling discussed challenges and opportunities in areas such as climate protection, social justice and health issues. This year, Josef Zellhofer received the Viktor Adler badge for his long services, which was a special highlight. The SPÖ clearly positioned itself as a social and advanced force in Meidling, which works together with the population on solutions, such as
Meidling.spoe. Neumayer encouraged everyone present to form a joint commitment: "We listen and help where we can."
