A pleasant turn for the employees of Vöcklabrucker Metallgießerei GmbH: The subsidiary of KTM Components GmbH was just eleven days before Christmas, but now there is hope! The Mettec Guss, a company with a long story in metal processing, becomes the new owner and thus secures around 50 jobs. "The ongoing maintenance of jobs is of enormous importance for the region," announces Karin Kirchschlager, who will take over the management from March 1st and is already heading the Mettec Guss in Wels.
The bankruptcy was a shock for the workforce, especially after threatening information about the closure of various areas by mass manager Christoph Doppelbauer. In the middle of the uncertainty, however, a solution was quickly found. According to krone.at , all existing 34 employees were taken over, and around 20 former employees will be brought back from unemployment. This enables a seamless continuation of production and ensures the existing customer relationships.
