World Cup fever reaches record values: Millions cheer on ORF!

The Alpine Ski World Championship in Cortina was a real quota fireworks! The last highlight of the World Cup, the second slalom passage of the men, attracted up to 1.529 million viewers, which corresponded to an impressive market share of 65 percent. On average, 1.293 million viewers watched, including many from the younger target groups, which also drove the odds of 61 and 64 percent. The alpine ski broadcasts were part of an overall successful February for ORF, which achieved a total of 3.784 million sports fans with around 60 hours of live broadcasts at the World Cup. The climax was the men's descent, which recorded an average of 1.340 million viewers, followed by the men's slalom with 1.293 million and the women's slalom, which attracted 1.169 million viewers. The biathlon World Cup in Slovenia also ensured excellent odds, so up to 667,000 spectators Lisa Hauser's Gold racing in the mass start. A clear proof that winter sports in Austria is still king!
