Construction sites in the 3rd district: This is how traffic affects the country road

The country road in the 3rd district of Vienna will be affected by several construction sites in the coming period. Despite the ending construction site summer, the infrastructure in this area is still significantly improved. These developments mean that drivers, but also public users, have to expect several restrictions. Various road sections are temporarily blocked or diverted from Landstraßer Hauptstraße to the belt.

Since the beginning of October, the A23, specifically in the area of Landstraßer Gürtel, is being worked on on the maintenance of two tunnel tubes, the "Eurogate" and "wild goose". The tunnel "Wildgans" remains closed until November 23 between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Drivers can use the nearby Eurogate tunnel where only one lane is affected.

planned construction work and traffic impairments

From October 22nd, construction work will start in steamship, which will take place in sections until November 25th. Cutlets can be expected here, but no large -scale diversions are necessary. On the weekends from November 8th, a lane is also blocked on Radetzkystrasse, which could cause further delays.

Also on October 22, extensive construction activities begin in the white -tiered area. These work concern the lower Viaductgasse and steamship road to the Erdberger Lände as well as the Hundertwasser promenade and other streets. During the autumn holidays, from October 28th to November 1st, additional traffic jams can be expected, since lanes are also blocked here. On weekends, traffic is diverted via the directional track in Rasumovskygasse, which means that the tram in Löwengasse has to hold.

There will also be restrictions at night: lanes are blocked in Würtzlerstraße and Landstraßer Hauptstraße from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. These measures run until November 30th and can cause additional traffic delays.

The continuing construction activities in this central district are important for the future transport infrastructure, even if they are currently causing inconvenience. The stand of improvements shows the city's committed efforts to optimize mobility and make the streets safer.
