Police calendar 2025: Vienna police inspire enthusiasm at the Kaiser Wiesn

A very special event took place at the Kaiser Wiesn in Vienna that went far beyond the usual celebrations. The Vienna police presented their new calendar for 2025 with a lot of celebrities and enthusiasm. Instead of a traditional guardroom, the presentation was held in a festive tent, lively with happy guests and loud music. Here the officials had the opportunity not only to make their work visible, but also to bring it closer to people.

The calendar offers a comprehensive insight into the diversity of the Vienna police force. For each quarter, different units such as the WEGA (Vienna Task Force Alarm Department) and the police dog handlers were portrayed in action. These vivid representations not only included the emergency services in everyday life, but also special materials such as the “Interceptor”, which is worth highlighting as one of the heavier devices. The actors were accompanied by applause and approval as they paraded through the tent and showed their presence.

Insights and proximity to citizens

At the event, high-ranking police representatives such as Federal Police Director Michael Takacs and Vienna Police Chief Gerhard Pürstl praised the successful connection between the police and the public. “This calendar brings the police even closer to the people,” explained Pürstl. For him and his colleagues, the calendar is not just a piece of paper, but a symbol of close contact with the population, which is particularly important in times of uncertainty.

The calendar is limited to 7,500 copies and was already very popular during the event. Visitors who were unable to attend the festive event will soon have the opportunity to order their own calendar online for 15 euros via the Police Music Vienna website. It's a creative and engaging way to highlight the diverse and important work of the police.

Interest in the work of the police remains unbroken, and such events promote understanding and acceptance in society. With this event, the Vienna police show that they are not only there for security, but also part of the community that supports and is there for the people.
