Interactive climate knowledge ° shop opens in the Gerngross in Vienna

In Vienna-new construction, an interactive "climate knowledge ° shop" will be opened in the Gerngross department store on October 10th. This project is organized by the ScienceCenter network and aims to educate the public on important topics such as the climate crisis, sustainability and biodiversity.

The shop offers a variety of stations and activities that invite you to participate and discuss. As part of these events, visitors have the opportunity to become active themselves by researching various aspects of climate reporting and sustainable practices. According to the association, scientists and committed citizens can also have their say in order to share their perspectives and solutions.

dates and open space

From October 10th to October 12th and from October 17th to 19th, the knowledge room opens its doors on the 2nd floor of the department store. Admission is free and registration is not required. During the shop opening times, visitors can learn more about how biodiversity influences our lives, which ecological limits have already been reached and how community action against climate change can be effective.

This pop-up project is based on an initiative of the Department of Climate Protection, which was started in collaboration with researchers and citizens. Last year, the ScienceCenter network organized a similar knowledge space in the Danube Center, which dealt with topics related to work and mobility. The decision to create a new room in the Gerngross is another step towards sensitization for climate -relevant questions.

For visitors there is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the challenges and possible solutions in the field of climate protection. Further information and details can be found on www.vienna.at .
