Court judgment secures the future of the Yak + Yeti in Mariahilf

In a pleasant turn for the catering in Vienna, it was decided that the Nepalese restaurant "Yak + Yeti" may remain at its location at Hofmühlgasse 21. This is followed by an intensive legal proceedings in which the new owners of the building had submitted an eviction lawsuit against the operators of the restaurant.

The dispute over the "Yak + Yeti" got up after Gr Hofmühlgasse 21 GmbH & Co KG, the new owners of the house, accused the catering operations, displaced objects in areas that were not part of the rental agreement. It was stated that the parking of these objects, which were classified as easily flammable, is a fire risk and blocking access to adjacent apartments. This led to the cancellation of 19 out of 24 planned apartment visits.
