In a pleasant turn for the catering in Vienna, it was decided that the Nepalese restaurant "Yak + Yeti" may remain at its location at Hofmühlgasse 21. This is followed by an intensive legal proceedings in which the new owners of the building had submitted an eviction lawsuit against the operators of the restaurant.

The dispute over the "Yak + Yeti" got up after Gr Hofmühlgasse 21 GmbH & Co KG, the new owners of the house, accused the catering operations, displaced objects in areas that were not part of the rental agreement. It was stated that the parking of these objects, which were classified as easily flammable, is a fire risk and blocking access to adjacent apartments. This led to the cancellation of 19 out of 24 planned apartment visits.

After the contradiction of the restaurant management against the allegations, the case finally landed before the district court inner city, where after several months and court hearings the verdict fell: The "Yak + Yeti" does not have to meet the evacuation action and can continue to open its doors.

Despite the legal disputes, the restaurant has recently been able to work unhindered and offers its delicacies. The opening times are Monday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Reservations are possible on 01 5955452.
