Habitat in the heart of Floridsdorf: The new shopping spitz awakens

The story of the "shopping spitz" in Floridsdorf has taken a new turn. Since decommissioning in 2013 and the subsequent demolition in 2020, this location on Brünner Straße/Angerer Strasse has been empty. But now, under the project "Green21 - Life at the shopping spitz", the area is being revived.

The official groundbreaking for this future -oriented project took place in 2022. District head Georg Papai and project developer Dr. Gerhard Kornfeld, who both recognized the progress of the project together as part of a tour.

The new "Green21" presents itself as a state -of -the -art green building and comprises 147 freed -financed rental apartments. These apartments are not only tastefully furnished, but also available in various, attractive sizes. Each unit even has its own balcony, a terrace or a loggia, which also offers residents outdoors. The construction also has sufficient car parking spaces, a large roof terrace with play options for children as well as various training centers and restaurants.

"This project stands for a modern mix of use in modern architecture and is already another important impulse for the development of our district center," said district manager Georg Papai optimistically about the future of the location.

The progress in the development of the “shopping tip” shows how important urban areas can be revitalized.
