Floridsdorf: Police tie up the mastermind network after a robbery
A scary incident occurred on the night of October 16th in Floridsdorf, a district of Vienna. A 19-year-old man opened his apartment door after a friend, also 19, rang the doorbell. Suddenly three men broke into the apartment. Two of the perpetrators beat him while a third threatened him with a knife.
During the robbery, the perpetrators stole cash, shoes and a music box. The frightened young man immediately reported the matter to the police, who then began investigating. The Vienna police have now determined that the victim's acquaintance was among the perpetrators.
Arrests in several apartments
The investigation quickly showed results. On October 30, officers arrested the suspicious woman and a 21-year-old man in the victim's apartment. During this search, police found a pair of the stolen shoes as well as a small amount of illegal substances, suspected to be cannabis.
The other suspects, a 20-year-old and a 22-year-old man, were picked up at their home addresses in the following days and also arrested. The remaining stolen items, including another pair of shoes and the music box, were also recovered from them. During the arrests, the officers also found a small amount of addictive substances, which also indicated cannabis.
Interestingly, all of the suspects except the 22-year-old confessed to their crimes. This shows that the police were able to successfully investigate this case and that the security situation in Floridsdorf may become somewhat more stable again. Details about this incident are still sparse and are based on information provided by the police. This is what www.meinkreis.at reports.
