Free flu vaccinations in Vienna: How to benefit from November 4th!
From next Monday, November 4th, a free vaccination campaign will start in Vienna, which offers both flu and HIV vaccinations. This Initiative is part of urban health care and is intended to help the citizens to effectively protect themselves against these diseases.
A total of around 250,000 vaccine cans are available, with 85,000 cans being available in the three vaccination centers alone. The vaccination centers are located in Towntown (3rd, Thomas-Klestil-Platz 8/2), at Schrödingerplatz (22nd, Schrödingerplatz 1) and in Gasgasse 8–10 in Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus.
mobile vaccination campaigns for all districts
In addition to the inpatient vaccination, the city will offer mobile vaccination campaigns in all districts by the end of January. These actions are particularly flexible and offer important health services on site. The first mobile vaccinations will take place every day from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Fem Med women's health center at Reumannplatz 7 from November 7th. Further dates will be planned on Friday, November 8th in the district head Favorites at Keplerplatz 5 and on Monday, November 11th, in the district head Leopoldstadt in Karmelitergasse 9.
The dates for the vaccination centers and the mobile vaccination campaigns can now be booked via the website www.impfservice.wien or by phone 1450. It should be noted that small children under the age of 6 are excluded from vaccination. The e-card, the vaccination pass and a photo ID must be brought to you for vaccination.
With these vaccination campaigns, the city of Vienna pursues the goal of promoting the health of its population and containing the spread of flu and HIV. The free provision of vaccinations has the potential to motivate more people to be vaccinated and thus improve general health in the city. Further details on the mobile actions and all dates can be called up on the online platforms mentioned.
