Peasant Advent in Oberlaa: A festival for the whole community

The traditional peasant advent in Oberlaa is just around the corner and promises a festive highlight for the community this year too. On December 8th at 5 p.m., Rosiwlgasse 54 will be the setting for a special Advent evening, which will be organized by Rudi Wieselthaler for the 19th time. The proceeds from the event go to the disabled association "Dorfgemeinschaft Breitenfurt", so that it is not just about celebrating, but also about social responsibility.

Rudi Wieselthaler, who is considered the "secret mayor" of Oberlaa, cordially invites all residents of Oberlaa, Unterlaa and Rothneusiedl to spend a contemplative evening together. "We look forward to an atmospheric evening with Advent songs, poems, delicious Advent punch and grilled chestnuts," explains Wieselthaler. It is particularly noteworthy that the entire proceeds of the event are used for a good cause to help those who are in need.

The Nikolo and the Christ child will also be present this year for additional festive mood. Pastor Andreas Klein will also take care of the blessing. "The festival should also be a memory of all those who are not doing so well," emphasizes the organizer.

The event takes place in the courtyard of the Karina and Marus Ceree-Wieselthaler family, where everyone is very welcome. Admission is free of charge, but a donation is requested for the "Dorfgemeinschaft Breitenfurt". The event is supported by the agricultural casino and the Oberlaa wine -growing association under the direction of Rudi Wieselthaler.

Special thanks also go to the many volunteers who contribute to an unforgettable experience every year that the farmer's advent is becoming an unforgettable experience. The village community is looking forward to celebrating a hopeful and peaceful Advent season together with the visitors.
