Donaustadt triumphs in the derby: 5-1 win against Aspern
In the exciting Oberliga B derby, KSC/FCB Donaustadt achieved an impressive 5-1 win against SV Aspern. From the start, the guests dominated the game and left the home team little room for their own actions. Particularly noteworthy is Mohamed Mansour, who contributed significantly to Donaustadt's success with three goals, which gave the spectators an exciting match.
The start of the game was electric. In the 14th minute, Mansour scored the first goal with a lightning-quick shot into the right corner after intercepting a precise cross. His second goal came just ten minutes later when he stood in the right position after a deflected shot from Michael Goiss and pushed the ball over the line from close range. The guests showed from the start that they were determined to put their opponents in their place with a clear strategy and aggressive play.
Aspern finds his way into the game for a short time
However, SV Aspern did not let themselves be defeated so quickly and managed to score a goal in the 32nd minute. Abdurrahman Ercelik took advantage of a passing error in Donaustadt's build-up play to shoot from a long distance and beat goalkeeper Lamin Kanteh. This briefly aroused hope in the Aspern camp. But the joy didn't last long, as just four minutes later Adam Aliyev restored the old distance. A misunderstanding in the hosts' defense meant that Alijev was able to convert the ball from close range and increase the score to 3-1. In the last minute of the first half, Mansour made the score 4-1 with his third goal.
After the half-time break, Aspern tried to rehabilitate himself, but was unable to develop his usual level of danger. Donaustadt's defensive work was solid, and the hosts' few attacks were quickly nipped in the bud. Adam Alijev had an opportunity in the 48th minute, but it was saved by goalkeeper Stefan Ehrentraud. The guests stayed on the pressure and in the 68th minute Dario Pfeiffer increased the score to 5:1, which marked the final score.
The victory could have been even greater if Ehrentraud in the Aspern goal hadn't defused several dangerous situations with his great reflexes. His talent was particularly evident in the 78th minute, when he thwarted a solo effort by Goiss. With this impressive away win, KSC/FCB Donaustadt consolidated their form and climbed up the table with their second win in a row.
There were some notable players in both teams' lineups. Aspern's side included Stefan Ehrentraud in goal and Ercelik and Michael Huber on the pitch, while KSC/FCB had Kanteh, Mansour and Alijev.
The distribution of cards was also an issue: On the Aspern side, Huber, Ercelik and Salwey received warnings, while at Donaustadt El Madhi and Braun received yellow cards. Referee Luis Da Silva and his assistants had to keep an impeccable eye on the action during the game.
This encounter belonged in front of 80 spectators who were able to witness the exciting derby. With this performance, KSC/FCB Donaustadt not only brought home the three points, but also sent a strong signal to the competition.
