Austria is facing a weather mix: The influence of a high pressure area called “Beate” brings cold air masses from the north and a varied weather situation. While the coming days promise a combination of clouds, fog and sunshine, the weather will remain mostly dry over the weekend. The region in the east in particular can look forward to better weather on Tuesday, even if the temperatures at the beginning of the week do not go above -4 to +2 degrees, as Geosphere Austria reported.
On Friday, the sun's rays rarely shine in most parts of the country, while dense clouds and high fog-like clouds dominate the picture, especially in the north and east. There is a chance of a few snowflakes here, while temperatures can rise to up to 9 degrees during the day, especially in the Inn Valley to the south with foehn. On Saturday it will also be sunny with local fog and high fog, while temperatures fluctuate between minus 9 and plus 12 degrees.
Increase in temperatures and further weather fluctuations
In the following days it remains changeable. On Sunday, fog could persist in some valleys while other regions benefit from the sun. The wind is mostly light, but becomes more brisk in the east. Monday will bring a mix of sun and clouds, with the west potentially offering plenty of sunshine early on. Light rainfall is possible, especially early on Wednesday, while temperatures can then rise to 0 to 6 degrees.
As today.at reported, the high pressure influence will increase until Thursday, but high fog-like clouds are affecting visibility across large parts of the country. Conclusion: An exciting weather situation awaits the Austrians!
