Lindau handball duel: home game against Feldkirch promises excitement!
An exciting handball weekend is coming! On Saturday, the district upper league handball players from TSV Lindau return to the triple gym in Aeschach after almost two months of away games. The last home game of the year against direct rivals BW Feldkirch kicks off at 8 p.m. Captain Alexander Haller is hoping for numerous spectators who could make the decisive difference in a close game: “In a close game, they can tip the scales!”
The encounter promises to be a thrilling duel, as the Lindauers are in fourth place, while Feldkirch is only one point behind in seventh place. Haller shows respect for the opponent, who recently made people sit up and take notice with a narrow 30:29 win against second-placed MTG Wangen II. “Not many teams will be able to do that this season,” said Haller, who emphasized: “We definitely have to do everything we can to keep the points in Lindau.”
Overcame bad luck with injuries
The injury problems in the Lindau squad are finally history! Robert Broszio and player-coach Jörg Lützelberger are back in the team, and new signing Moritz Pieper will fill the gap in the backcourt left by Julian Gauger. After his cruciate ligament tear, Gauger is unlikely to be back on the field until next season.
But it's not just men who are active! The handball players of TSV Lindau have their last appearance in the first half of the season against SV Bad Buchau II in the Bodensee district class at 6 p.m. Coach Haller emphasizes that the focus is not just on winning: “A win would be important, but it is even more important to me that the tactics we have planned are implemented.” With the penultimate place in the table in mind, the focus is on developing the team in order to move forward.
