Review of the fire brigade: Successes and honors in Lichtenwörth

On November 28th, the last district command meeting in 2024 took place in the Halwax inn in Lichtenwörth. Numerous members of the district command had gathered for this significant event, including officials, district clerk, trainers from BFKDO 21 and their accompaniment. These meetings are an important opportunity to appreciate the activities and successes of the past year and to put new goals.

District Commander OBR Karl-Heinz Greiner spoke some inviting words and warmly welcomed the honorary officials present and the district fire brigade curate Bfkur Father Michael Weiss. In his report, district fire brigade commander Greiner drew a positive balance. He emphasized the exceptional performance of the fire brigades in the district, especially their commitment to the flood operations. He also referred to the success of the fire brigade youth in Hollenthon and mentioned the remarkable achievements of the competition groups. He was particularly proud of the Vice-Bundesiche of the Aigen 1 competition group in Feldkirch, which underlines the high quality of fire work in the region.

The recognition of the work was a central point during the session. Greiner thanked everyone present for their collaboration last year and emphasized the improvement that could be achieved through the common commitment. As a sign of thanks, ElbdStV Herbert Schanda presented the district commander a USB stick, on which the history of the fire brigade district is documented in many files. This gesture illustrates the appreciation for the previous work and the importance of tradition within the fire brigade.

Honors were also awarded as part of the meeting. Hfm Sebastian Mitterhofer from FF Katzelsdorf was appointed fire brigade lawyer. Bi Georg Kratochwil also received jun. The appointment as "head of the rod of the district management staff Wr. Neustadt" by district commander Greiner.
