Benefit concert in the ZF Campus: Brahms and the music for a good cause

Jürgen Jakob, pianist and choir director, invites you to a very special benefit concert again this year. After the previous six events of the "Long Night of Chamber Music", he was able to transfer proud sums of 3,000 to 4,000 euros to the Bodensee children's hospice service. This not only shows the successful initiative, but also motivates him to make music this time for a good cause.

This year the concert does not take place in the Graf-Zeppelin-Haus, but in the count of Soden Forum of the ZF Campus at Fallenbrunnenstrasse 3. Jakob bears all the expenses such as hall rent and advertising itself, and the Zeppelin University supports his project by providing an excellent Steinway wing that he had selected himself.

a demanding program

In the days before the concert, it was not easy to meet Jürgen Jakob for a conversation. "Time is currently an important factor," he explains, while feverishly organizing the rehearsals for the concert. Five duos, two trios and a quintet are performing, with a total of twelve soloists and a vocal ensemble. "Find an appointment with four strings that play in different orchestras," he jokes, and at the same time highlights the professionalism of those involved, who now form a well -coordinated team. Many of the musicians teach at music schools and are also looking for performance opportunities, especially when it comes to an event for a good cause.

The concert will be dedicated to Johannes Brahms. "Brahms's chamber music is of consistently high quality, every piece is standard," says Jakob. He is particularly looking forward to the piano quintet op. 34, which will be heard in full length. In addition, the Sonata No. 2 A major is played in the original line-up for violin and piano, while the Sonata No. 1 G major sounds with flute and piano. The piano trio H major op. 8 has also intended for the evening, which makes the start with soprano and tenor saxophone. Another highlight are the variations on a topic of Schumann op. 23, which he performs four hands with Elisa.

The concert will not only be shaped by instrumental music: a highlight is the gypsy songs op. 103, which are presented by the talented soprano Anjulie Hartrampf. This young artist has just completed her Bachelor in Feldkirch and is now facing the master's degree - another reason to look forward to her appearance.

The long night of chamber music also acts as a wonderful mood for the Brahms request, which Jürgen Jakob will perform at the end of October with Anjulie Hartrampf, Hermann Locher, the Kresscendo choir and other guest singers in Kressbronn. You can hear the sixth sentence "Because we have no permanent city" with bassist Hermann Locher and the choir. This is a demanding program that promises numerous musical highlights.

The "Long Night of Chamber Music" takes place on October 12th in the ZF Campus of the Zeppelin University. The beginning is at 7 p.m., at the end of around 11 p.m. Admission is free, donations are welcome. This event offers an excellent way to immerse yourself in the music of Brahms and at the same time make a contribution to a valuable thing.
