Teams in action: Successful rescue exercise in TUX demonstrates cooperation
On the evening of November 25, 2024, a large -scale exercise took place in Tux, which impressively demonstrated how different rescue organizations and medical staff can work together efficiently. The scenario included a vehicle crash in which three cars were involved and in which a total of 11 people were injured. 93 emergency services, including the fire brigade, mountain rescue, alpine police, red cross and the ÖAMTC flight rescue, were involved in the exercise. The alarm by the Tyrol control center took place at 7:00 p.m.
The special challenges of this exercise were mainly in the extremely difficult terrain. The TUX fire brigade took on the important task of securing the scene of the accident and saving the trapped accident victims. At the same time, the mountain rescue became active to transport the injured through the steep terrain.
collaboration of the emergency services
A crucial factor during the exercise was the close cooperation between the various organizations. Regular position consultations ensured that all processes were coordinated and efficiently. The Unders fire brigade played a central role in the position of the position, which also made it easier to use. Mayor Simon Grubauer emphasized how important such well -planned exercises are in order to be able to react quickly and effectively in an emergency.
Medical care was another essential part of the mission. Paramedics of the Red Cross and emergency doctors of the ÖAMTC were not only responsible for the stabilization of the patients, but also to prepare them optimally for transport to a hospital. The coordination of the forces ensured that the patients could be treated further in the hospitals depending on the available capacities.
After around two hours, the exercise was successfully completed. The subsequent reflection in the form of a snack organized by the municipality offered an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and deepen teamwork. A special highlight was the passed test by Lukas Kirchler, the local position manager of the Red Cross Tux, to the head of operations - a congratulations on him!
This exercise impressively illustrates the importance of the coordinated work of various blue light organizations and shows that you are well prepared in an emergency. The certainty that all participants are well trained and ready by such exercises are a soothing element for the entire community.
