Entry campaign: secure delicious surprise at the carnival time!

Dornbirn, Österreich - On February 26th the time has come again: The big Krapfen-Aktion by Vol.at is carried out. Five lucky winners have the opportunity to surprise their work colleagues, classmates or the morning gymnastics group with the well-known "foolish guates" donuts. These treats are freshly supplied from the Interspar bakeries in Dornbirn, where up to 6,000 donuts are baked every day to meet the high rush during the carnival season. An incredible 20,000 donuts are produced on Mardi Gras alone, whereby attention is paid to quality: only Austrian flour is used and palm oil is dispensed with. The master baker Hans Jürgen Kölly also emphasizes that the fruit share of the filling is high, which contributes to sugar reduction. Most popular is the apricot donut, which most Austrians call favorites.

carnival: a festival full of tradition

carnival, also known as a carnival, is not only a culinary delight, but also a celebration that is deeply rooted in culture. Many people are looking forward to the foolish days when public festivities took place in streets, taverns and clubs. The origins of Mardi Gras go back to Pagane times when winter was sold by happy celebrations and the spring was welcomed. This is also the reason for the colorful masks and costumes that are worn today, many of them are humorous to take famous people or politicians.
