Handbag theft in Dornbirn: perpetrator on the run!
There was a serious incident in Dornbirn on December 24th: a previously unknown man snatched the handbag from a 71-year-old woman at around 5 p.m. The thief acted without any violence and fled on foot towards Viehmarktplatz. Despite being chased by several passers-by and a manhunt launched immediately, the perpetrator remained undetected. Additional raid at night
Just a little later, on the night of December 25th, a 47-year-old woman fell victim to a similarly brazen theft at Schoren train station. When she got off the train around 12:20 a.m. and was on her way home, two unknown boys asked her for a cigarette. Despite her polite denial, one of the men took the opportunity to forcefully snatch the handbag she was casually carrying over her shoulder. Here too, the perpetrators fled in an unknown direction. The Dornbirn police are asking witnesses, especially a woman who got off the train with the victim, to come forward. This was done by vol.at reported.
