Car falls in a stream bed: 51-year-old injured in a skiing accident in Vorarlberg!
A dramatic incident occurred on Thursday in the Mellau-Damüls ski area when a 51-year-old man from Canada was involved in a serious accident after a trip with his family. Around 4.30 p.m., while he steered his car from the parking lot to the valley station, he parked in a free gap. Suddenly the vehicle rolled over a slope due to failing brakes and crashed more than eight meters deep into the stream bed of the Dürrenbach. The accidents seriously injured the man on the head and he was brought to the Dornbirn hospital after first aid. The fire brigade Egg had to mount the badly damaged car with a mountain crane from the stream bed, as vorarlberg.orf reported.
Another serious accident occurred on the All Saints' Day in Winnebach. A 92-year-old man directed his vehicle from the church to the village alone when he got off the road for unknown reasons. His car fell over a slope into the Walderbach and was completely destroyed. Here, too, the situation was critical: the man suffered polytrauma and urgently needed medical help. The Innichen volunteer fire brigade, supported by the fire brigades of the surrounding communities and the mountain rescue, was quickly on site. The seriously injured man was flown to the Bozner hospital with the Pelikan 2 emergency helicopter after the first aid through the White Cross, such as rainews.it reported in detail.
