Energy prices in the Reutte district: Gas prices are falling, electricity costs rise!
The energy world is currently head, but there is positive news for gas customers. In the coming year, the gas price will decrease by around 30 percent, which is a significant relief for many households. Specifically, this means that the labor price is reduced to 6.77 ct/kWh without additional fees from 9.58 ct/kWh. This brings an average customer who consumes 15,000 kWh a year, from around 1,500 euros to around 1100 euros per year.
This development in the gas area is particularly gratifying, while the future of electricity prices looks less rosy. As Board of Directors Sebastian Freier from the Reutte electricity works announced, electricity prices are very fluctuating. At the moment, one kilowatt hour of electricity costs 12.7 cents net. In the future, however, this will change if the federal government's temporary “electricity price brake” expires at the end of the year, which will increase prices.
look at the electricity prices
The "electricity price brake" has so far relieved some buyers because the cost of consumption up to 2900 kWh has been capped at 10 cents. As of the new year, consumers land directly at 12.7 cents per kWh, which entails additional loads due to the increasing network costs and the recently reduced energy output.
The possible increase in electricity costs ensures discussions, especially in view of the fact that the state supplier Tiwag can reduce prices to 9.8 cents per kWh from December 1st. Freier expressed that this decision gives him and other providers a mystery because it was not economically understandable. In fact, the current basic tariff of the Reutte electricity works is only just above the Tiwag tariff.
For a number of customers, however, there is hope on the horizon. From next year, a flexible electricity tariff is to be introduced, which aims to adapt the consumption in time. Customers with photovoltaic systems and electricity stores could particularly benefit from this new tariff profile. Further details are planned in individual consultations, but will only start in a few months.
This is how the energy cost market remains dynamic and developments in pricing show how sensitive the situation in the electricity and gas market is. For more information about the energy prices and developments in the region you can at www.meinbezirk.at Wenden.
