In the night of November 17, 2024, the city of Lienz experienced a tumult in front of a discotheque, which promptly triggered a police operation. A 28-year-old man from Austria is suspected of having injured two other guests by blows. The situation continued to develop when a 27-year-old man, one of the parties involved, attacked the accused in the face.

The police quickly became active and temporarily took the 27-year-old into custody. A little later, another supposed victim reported: a 17-year-old Austrian who stated that he was put on the face of the 28-year-old, which led to a broken incisor. This new accusation led the 28-year-old to be arrested.

Despite the arrest, the 28-year-old tried to defend himself violently. He hit the officials against their hands and arms and tried to push them off. Ultimately, the police enforced their arrest and both men were brought to the Lienz police inspection, where further investigations were initiated.

In the arrest, both participants, the accused and the attacker, were injured and required subsequent outpatient treatment in the Lienz district hospital. An alkotest carried out by the 28-year-old resulted in a positive value. No police were injured on site, but there were damage to property on the service clothing and the equipment of the officials.
