Tragic end of a ski tour: man fatally accident
Sölden, Österreich - On March 7, 2025, the police from Sölden reported the scene of a 68-year-old Austrian who had undergone a ski tour alone in Obergurgl on March 5, 2025. The dramatic search ended tragically: a police helicopter found the man at the foot of a rock passage of the Lieben tip, where he had apparently suffered fatal injuries from a crash. He had left his ski tour and backpack at a height of around 3,200 meters and had probably risen to the summit with crampons. On the way back over the hardly committed northwest ridge, he lost the hold and plunged around 100 meters of altitude, as fireworld.at reported.
In another tragic incident, a 60 -year -old missing person puzzle was solved. On August 25, 2024, human remains were discovered in the Tyrolean Alps at a height of 2,459 meters, including a lower leg with foot. This remains not hidden from the police of Sölden and Imst and led to clarification. A DNA analysis identified the lower leg than that of a 30-year-old German, who fell into a glacier column during a skitut in the area of the waterfall. He has been missing since then. The investigation showed that some of the bones found was originally originated, during the lower leg of human origin,
