In the past few weeks, the officials in the Imst district and adjacent regions have found alarming events of burglary thefts. Between January 23 and February 14, 2025, there were a total of four burglaries, in which two unknown perpetrators entered residential buildings. The perpetrators looked closely at the houses beforehand and then gained access by breaking or struggling with windows and patio doors. In addition to these burglaries, the police illuminate the increase in drug trafficking in the Schwaz district. Since the winter of 2021/22, suspicions have increased that several people are actively in the cocaine trade in the Region. Thanks to intensive investigations by the LKA Tirol, 14 people were arrested between October and December 2022. During these searches in Schwaz and Innsbruck, not only an addictive bunker was dug, but also 500 grams of cocaine as well as a considerable amount of cannabis products and cash. The street sales value of this drugs is approximately 63,500 euros, while 27,000 euros in cash from drug trafficking.
