Devil of Avignon: Daughter reports her father for rape!

The case of the “Devil of Avignon” has become a veritable media storm in recent weeks. Dominique Pelicot was sentenced to 20 years in prison for aggravated rape in December. The court in Avignon found that he repeatedly abused his wife Gisèle with narcotic drugs over almost a decade and offered her to dozens of men for rape on internet forums. A total of 50 co-defendants were convicted and received prison sentences of between three and 15 years. 46-year-old Darian accuses her father of using medication to make her unconscious and sexually abusing her over a period of probably ten years. The lawsuit against her father was filed with the public prosecutor's office in Versailles.

The Dominique Pelicot trial gained international attention and made Gisèle Pelicot a symbol in the fight against sexual violence.
