20 years of Luis: Cabaret artist inspires in Weiz and brings laughter to the Ultental

The cabaret artist Luis from South Tyrol has been inspiring the audience in the entire southern German -speaking world for over two decades. He recently appeared in the Kunsthaus Weiz and entertained his fans with a ingenious humor and a pinch of cheek. His appearances are a mixture of personal experiences and social observations that often make the audience laugh and at the same time stimulate thought.

on the way to his appearance in Styria, Luis noticed that the posters on the roadside not only depicted politicians, but also pointed out on his tour. "Hopefully I will not be chosen," he said with a wink. In Frank Stronach Hall, he asked questions that made the audience smile, and even mentioned prominent fellow citizens of his hometown, such as the world-class ski driver Dominik Paris and the former emigrant Michael Jackson, who became famous in the USA.

tour and commitment to home

In the past 20 years, the cabaret artist has covered many kilometers to reach its audience and always focused on its homeland roots. He tells of the challenges that a mountain farmer has to face in the Alps with a skillful wit. In order to promote tourism in his home country, for example, he started building a swimming pool, which was associated with numerous difficulties, as he reports humorously: "The excavation still worked quite well, only the thing with the water was problematic."

In his shows, Luis also sells numerous merchandise products, from DVDs to cookbooks to fabric bags. His range reflects the individual charm and humor that brought him a loyal fan base.

It is particularly noteworthy how Luis manages to address both younger and older listeners. His mixture of wit and profound thoughts make him a distinctive figure in the cabaret landscape. In Weiz he was once more able to show why he was enthusiastic about so many people, and the spectators enthusiastically applauded for the diversity of his work.

More cabaret events, such as "50 Shades of Schmäh" and a best-of program with Gernot Kulis, are already on the plan in the Kunsthaus Weiz. Andreas VitaSek also delighted the audience with his show "Spätles". For many, the cabaret in Weiz is an integral part of cultural life.
