Headmard celebrates for 60 years of shicial and 55 years of Schiclub with magical moments

A special celebration was held in Homzach, which put two significant anniversaries into the spotlight. The illustration, which forms the heart of winter sports in the region, celebrated its 60th anniversary, while the associated Schiclub can look back to a proud 55 years. These occasions confirm the long tradition and the enormous importance of skiing in this small community.

The organization team, consisting of Manuela Rieser, Birgit Rieger, Manfred Pack, Peter Pirker, Stefan Shool, Michael Steiner, Herbert Papst and Patrick Peschl, transformed the event center into a festive place. Under the motto "Magic of Ski Sport", an entertaining show evening was offered with a magical performance by Christoph Kulmer, who enchanted the guests with his art. This celebration was not only a tribute to the past, but also a festive view of the future of the Schilift and the Schiclub.

memories and honors

As part of the ceremony, contemporary witnesses also had their say, which reported the beginnings and development of the Schilift with moderator Franz "Radi" Bärnthaler. Helmut Kainz and Franz Papst shared their memories of the start -up period. The guests of honor included Mayor Peter Bacher, Vice Mayor Christian Reiter and Renate Götschl, the President of Steirerski. The responsible persons of the Schilift and the Schiclub let numerous long -time companions enter the stage with deserved honors and thus enabled a review of the success and developments of the past decades.

The shell was opened in 1965 and has since developed into an important location for winter sports. As early as March 1992, the first international FIS races were held here, which earned the illustration a certain reputation. The most important advances in the recent past include the construction of a new snowmaking system and the extension of the tow lift. Today, the shell is not only considered a local "local supplier" for winter sports enthusiasts, but also as a recognized performance center and talent forge. Even world-class athletes like Mikaela Shiffrin chose the slopes in the Swiss stone pine for their training.

These celebrations represent an exciting stage in the history of the Schilift and the Schiclub. They not only honor the long -term tradition, but also create space for new memories and developments in the future of skiing here in homes. The future looks promising and we can be excited to see what the coming years will have for this traditional place.
