City Run Trofaiach: A festival of the young running talents and championships

The City Run Trofaiach once again attracted the running enthusiasts from the region and beyond on Saturday in Upper Styria. With around 200 participants, the event was a complete success and formed the crowning glory for two significant running cups: the team Styria street run cup and the Zod Track & Trail running cup. Not only were the best in the age groups U10 to U16, but also the Styrian championship in the street run for the age groups U12, U14 and U16 took place.

The organization was in the proven hands of Edi Lieber and Richard Nudl, who, together with the city administration of Trofaiach, under the direction of Mayor Mario Abl, and the team of teachers of the sports agent, led by Jürgen Pansi, ensured smooth processes.

The championships had special charm due to the excellent performance of the young athletes and offered exciting competitions to the spectators. The winners of the Styrian championship are:

• u12: Elias Feyel from the Athletics Club Murtal and Elise Grabmüller by LTU Graz
• u14: Nico Lieber from PSV Leoben and Enna Hadzovic from the Atus Gratkorn
• u16: Christoph Müller from PSV Leoben and Anna Molling from Running Team Lannach

The Zod Track & Trail Laufcup also included children and young people who voted in their age groups for the cup winner. Particularly noteworthy is the strong presence of the PSV Leoben, which in addition to individual starters also competed with teams in different age groups and went home with several medals. An impressive result with four gold, silver and a bronze medal speaks for the outstanding performance of the athletes.
