Autumn 2024: Successful Erasmus+exchange between Leibnitz and France
In autumn 2024, the B (r) G Leibnitz experienced an exciting time in which the Erasmus+student exchange between Austria and France not only promoted cultural exchange, but also deepened the long-standing school partnership. It was particularly interesting that the Leibnitzer Gymnasium took part in this exchange for the third time, while the commercial academy participated for the first time.
During a whole month, the students had the opportunity to explore France, followed by another month in which the French guests were then welcomed in Leibnitz. This type of exchange enables young people to experience the life and culture of the other country first -hand - an experience organized by the educational directorate.visits and cultural experiences
The tour guide and French professors Julia Danner and Ulrich Kaiser-Kaplaner enthusiastically reported by the visitors from the Provence and Poitiers region, who lingered in southern Styria. 170 French guests had the opportunity to visit the Graz country house, where they were warmly welcomed by Education Councilor Werner Amon and President of the Landtag Manuela Khom. Such official greets underpin the importance of the school partnership and the cultural exchange.
For the further joy of the students, there were, among other things, a trip to the Frauenberg and a picnic together. In addition, the B (r) g has been maintaining a friendship with a partner school in Quimperlé in Brittany for several years, which is also thanks to the Erasmus+program. In the spring, students from Leibnitz had the opportunity to visit the beautiful peninsula, and the recent exchange continued this valuable relationship.
The commitment to cultural exchange and international friendships remains a central concern of B (r) G and offers the students the opportunity to expand their horizons and to gain new perspectives. Such initiatives not only strengthen the language skills of the students, but also enrich their understanding of other cultures.
