On Saturday afternoon, December 21, 2024, a serious traffic accident occurred on the L45 near Großwilfersdorf. A 38-year-old driver drove from Söuu towards Maierhofen when he got off the road at around 4:00 p.m. due to excessive speed and crashed into a water through. The collision had devastating consequences for the two passengers, a 40 and a 43-year-old, both of whom were seriously injured. The 43-year-old was flown to the LKH Graz with a rescue helicopter, while the 38-year-old got away with minor injuries.
