A serious traffic accident occurred in the Waltendorf district of Graz early on Wednesday morning, January 8th. A twelve-year-old girl wanted to cross a protective path in Plüddemanngasse around 6:50 a.m. when she was hit by a car. The 55-year-old driver, who comes from the Graz area district, apparently did not notice the pedestrian in time. The collision was violent and the impact threw the girl into a car in oncoming traffic, sustaining serious injuries. After initial care, she was taken to the LKH Graz for treatment, specifically to pediatric surgery. The police have started an investigation and are appealing for information.
