Travel coach stopped on S1: Dangerous defects discovered when checked!
In the event of a security -relevant police, on February 4, 2025, explosive defects were discovered on a coach on the S 1 Vienna Foreign Ring, at the Rannersdorf rest station. Officials from the Schwechat Wiener Straße police inspection carried out technical controls together with technical experts from the Lower Austrian state government. Around 2:30 p.m. the police stopped a bus that was traveling towards Graz and was occupied by 13 passengers.
The police and the experts met with a serious deficiency during the check: a tire on the third axis of the vehicle showed a large -scale tissue exit, and the minimum profile depth on both tires of the third axis was considerably falling. The emergency services left no other choice: the bus driver received a ban on the onward journey until the legal requirements have been met, and the license plate boards were temporarily decreased.
