Intoxication raid in Klagenfurt: Serbian dealer arrested with 2000 grams of cocaine!
A significant drug case shaken the Klagenfurt region when a 33-year-old Serbian citizen was arrested on a vehicle control on December 6th. Officials from the Villach motorway police discovered over 2000 grams of cocaine in his car when they checked the vehicle at a rest area on the way to Italy. The man behaved nervously during the control and gave contradictory information, which led to a thorough examination of the vehicle. During the check, suspicious storage compartments with several packages were found, which were positively tested for cocaine after a rapid drug test. The 33-year-old was immediately arrested and brought to the Klagenfurt prison, while the investigation was taken over by the LKA Carinthia, as Meinzirk.at reported.
a complex drug empire
But that's not the only drug case that the Klagenfurt police have been concerned with in the past few months. As early as March 2023, a bouncer discovered dozens of parcel from parcels in a Klagenfurt disco with a 23-year-old man who acted as a "street metrunner". This discovery initiated an extensive investigation that revealed that the young man was part of a larger network that was managed by two bosses that even organized their business from prison. These men, who were in custody because of other crimes, used smuggled cell phones to control drug sales using a secret messenger app. This story was impressively documented by the Kleine Zeitung.
The operation against this drug cartel, known as "Samo Jako", resulted in the arrest of 23 members, including two women. The investigation shows the violent and hierarchically organized network, which acted for months and wanted to drive out cocaine but also heroin in Klagenfurt and Graz. The situation escalated into dangerous incidents, including chase with the police and the finding of weapons. The two leaders of the gang are now faced with an impending charge that could result in lifelong prison terms, since they are responsible for a complex and dangerous drug empire.
