New wind at Commissioner Rex: Seebacher over big footsteps!

Schladming, Österreich - The anticipation for the return of the cult detectives is huge! The Styrian actor Ferdinand Seebacher revealed in an interview with the "Krone" what challenges are waiting for him because he will take on the role of inspector Felix Burger in the new edition of "Commissioner Rex". This animal and human duo, which has conquered the hearts of millions of fans worldwide, will return to the screens again and the expectations are high. Seebacher will enter the footsteps of Karl Markovics, who once embodied the iconic partner of Commissioner Rex, and is aware of the meaning of this role: "Of course, there are big footsteps that are to be filled."

In order to be well prepared for filming that begin at the beginning of April, Seebacher will do an intensive weapons training in the second week of March. He reports with a smile on the immense response to the project: "When the press release went out, my phone rang without a break." But the likeable actor does not want to be crushed by the expectations. "I am not impressed, because although we resume a format that has already existed, it should not become one-to-one copy of it," he explains. Seebacher, who was born in Schladming in 1989, has had an impressive acting career in Vienna after completing the Matura and received his diploma at the University of Music and Performing Art in 2013.

Seebacher is not only known as a human investigator, but also has a personal connection to dogs, which benefits him as a new member of the "Commissioner Rex" team. "I grew up with dogs. Funnily enough, we always had shepherd dogs at home," he says. This personal affinity will surely influence his representation of the inspector Felix Burger, the successor of district inspector Stockinger, who will now shine in a new shine. In the past, Seebacher has already been seen in series such as "Die Bergretter" and has made a name for itself with various film and theater roles. His versatility as an actor can also be seen in his engagements from the Darmstadt State Theater to his appearances in the Vienna Volkstheater. With the new role in "Commissioner Rex", he will face further challenges, but will also get the opportunity to demonstrate his talent again, which is eagerly awaited by fans.
