Grein wants to fight for podium places - the start of the season in Hafjell!

Hafjell, Norwegen - Great tension in skiing! At the Slalom races in Hafjell, Tirol's Fabio Grein shows an impressive performance and achieved third place in the first round, only 0.44 seconds behind the leading Loic Meillard, the current slalom world champion from Switzerland. According to Oe24.at Grein asserted himself against strong competition, while other Austrian athletes such as Manuel Feller and Dominik Raschner resigned at an early stage. However, six other ÖSV runners remain in competition and have the chance to collect points for the qualification for the World Cup final in Sun Valley.

But that's not all! Grein, which is known for his technical finesse, mastered some challenges last season. The Sölden skier achieved a total of five top ten places and secured third place at the team parallel competition in Andorra. In an interview with Meindezirk.at he explained that his balance sheet was affected with mixed feelings. "It was better than in the previous year, but still not the yellow of the egg," said Grein. His next mission? Show more consistency and continue to fight for national success.

The conditions on the slopes were partially challenging because high temperatures affected the race tracks. However, Grein remains optimistic and is already preparing for the next season while continuing his training at the police school in Graz. "Preparation for the next ski winter begins in August," he announced. So the tension remains high and it will be interesting to observe how the racing drivers will beat themselves in the coming weeks.
