The federal government has now responded to this situation and will provide 4.8 million euros for investments in the water infrastructure of Styria.
"The supply of high-quality drinking water and the efficient disposal of wastewater are essential tasks of the communities," emphasized Norbert Tettschnig, the Federal Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Regions and Water Management. He made it clear that in view of the recent flood events, the continuous expansion of protective measures is essential. Promotion of water projects in Styria
In Styria, a total of 89 different water projects are to be implemented with the 4.8 million euros in grants. An outstanding example of the planned measures is the construction of a new connecting line by the Grazerfeld Southeast Water Association.
