Alcohol and racer: 23-year-old dares to the tunnel at 182 km/h!
Bruck-West, Österreich - A scandalous incident occurred during the night when a 23-year-old test guide owner from the Leoben district raced over the S6 with an incredible 182 km/h. This happened in a tunnel, where the maximum permitted speed of only 100 km/h was clearly exceeded. According to a report from 5min.at, a civilian patrol of the state transport department (LVA) noticed the rapid vehicle around 11 p.m. when the driver could not keep the trail and almost caused an accident.
After the timely control at Bruck-West, alcohol measurement showed an alarming alcoholization of the driver. He stated that he had drunk beer in a restaurant and apparently hurried home. Consequences followed immediately: The young man temporarily lost his driver's license and his car was confiscated by the order of the district administration Bruck-Mürzzuschlag. The police initiated a procedure for several offenses, as ORF reported.
These ruthless driving maneuvers and driving under the influence of alcohol are not only illegal, but also endanger the safety of all road users. The incident shows how important strict controls and timely measures are to prevent such dangerous actions in road traffic, which is further underlined by the reporting of kaernten.orf.at.
