SPÖ chooses new club chairman: trust for Austria's future!

In a crucial choice, the SPÖ determined its new club chairman today. Philip Kucher was elected as a club chairman with impressive 97.7 percent of the vote, while Julia Herr also received a lot of support with 95.5 percent. Both new ones at the head of the SPÖ parliamentary club were overwhelmed by the trust they have placed in them and emphasized the challenges that stand in front of Austria. They explained: "The mistakes of the past were not responsible for the SPÖ, but we are now taking responsibility together to get Austria back on course." In addition, MP Karin Greiner was elected to the newly composed club presidency, which is being reinforced.

At the same time, the NEOS club chairwoman Beate Meinl-Reisinger commented on the central challenges of the ongoing legislative period. In her speech, she emphasized the role of the NEOS as "the reform force" and called for a policy that not only aims to prevent worse things, but also actively strive for improvements. "The goal always has to be to shape better. And if this is not possible here in the high house or does not happen sufficiently, we will do so with the citizens in this country - which are already thinking much further," she said. Her words illustrate the urge of the NEOS to initiate necessary reforms and make progress regardless of political resistance, as reported on the Neos side.

These political developments determine the direction in which the two parties want to control under their new leaders, whereby the focus is on the challenges for the SPÖ and the clear reform agenda of the NEOS. The course for the future policy is thus set, and observers are eagerly awaiting the specific measures of both factions.
