Rescue mission in Tamsweg: Fire brigade frees the crashed person

On Wednesday evening, around 7:20 p.m., the Tamsweg volunteer fire brigade was called to an emergency after a person crashed into a stream bed. The incident occurred in Murgasse, which is located on the edge of Tamsweg in Lungau. Thomas Keidel, the spokesman for the fire brigade district Lungau, reported on the rescue operation.

The injured person had fallen from a height of four meters and was directly under a bridge in the Mur. Before the fire brigade was able to intervene, the Red Cross with three emergency services and the police were already on site with six other forces. In order to save the injured, some shrubs and branches had to be removed that blocked access.

After the access was cleared, the firefighters relegated with a plug -in ladder. The injured was secured in a wicker stretcher that was transported with the help of a turntable ladder through the embankment. During this time -consuming measures, the Red Cross took over the medical care of the injured person and ensured that it was brought to safety as soon as possible.

The entire use lasted about an hour, while the Murbrücke for vehicle traffic was completely closed. After completing the rescue campaign, the 27 members of the Tamsweg volunteer fire brigade returned to their vehicles and were able to resume their service in the local area.
