Kafka in the courtroom: Quasisolo brings choral music to performance
An extraordinary cultural event is imminent! As part of the Kafka year 2024, the vocal ensemble quasisolo invites you to a fascinating performance that combines music and spectacle. Under the direction of experienced Thomas Huber, the ensemble will take the audience into a musical courtroom in which the complex issues of guilt and responsibility are illuminated in a unique way.
On this special evening, the story of a still unknown person is told, who is driven into the tightness by a barely imitable act and now has to answer in a court hearing. This staging promises not only vocal, but also acting challenges for the actors who are transferred from Franz Kafka's words into the world of music.
musical accompaniment and an impressive stay of the presentation
The musical accompaniment comes from renowned composers such as Anton Bruckner, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Stephen Leek and Bobby McFerrin. Each piece is designed to reinforce the emotional depth of the plot and to involve the audience in the events. The ensemble even actively invites the viewers to find the judgment, which ensures additional tension.
Thomas Huber, an experienced music educator and choir director from Wels, brings more than 25 years of experience in the choir management. He has achieved numerous successes in national and international competitions and has headed the Salzburg vocal ensemble Quasisolo since 2021.
The vocal ensemble Quasisolo founded itself in 2002 from a friendly circle in Großgmain and has now developed into a popular choir with around 30 members. The passion of the singers for music is reflected in their diversity: from Irish ballads to jazzy pieces to Renaissance Madrigals, everything is offered. The ensemble also sees itself as a cultural ambassador and has already undertaken several concert tours abroad.
The upcoming performance will take place on November 20, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the cathedral choir hall, Chapter Square 3 in Salzburg. Tickets are available in advance for 18 euros, with a reduced entry of only 12 euros. Entry at the box office costs 23 euros.
