Major construction work in Salzburg: New lines for the future!
Extensive construction work is underway in the city of Salzburg, affecting a number of supply lines. At the lower end of Linzergasse, in the Platzl area, Salzburg AG is in the process of renovating district heating, water, electricity and gas pipes. As part of this project, cables for expanding the broadband network will also be laid, as shown on salzburg.orf.at reported. Neighbors and businesses will have to expect noise and possible restrictions for the duration of the work, but access to the shops will remain guaranteed at all times. Pedestrians are guided safely around the enclosed construction site area, and residents have been informed in advance about the progress of the work. In addition, “construction site cafés” are planned regularly to promote the exchange of progress and to collect suggestions.
The construction work, which is being carried out jointly by Salzburg Netz GmbH and Salzburg AG, began on April 8th. The first section extends from Bräuhausstrasse to Josef-Gruber-Strasse and will last until the end of June. During this time, Maxglaner Hauptstrasse is closed to private traffic, but access for residents remains possible at any time. The trolleybus continues to run regularly in this section. In the second construction phase, which will take place from June to the end of November, additional lines will be laid between Josef-Gruber-Straße and Glangasse. This work will run from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with those responsible trying to keep disruption to residents and traffic to a minimum presse.salzburg-ag.at.
