Large construction work in Salzburg: New lines for the future!

In the city of Salzburg, extensive construction work run, which affect a number of supply lines. At the lower end of Linzergasse, in the area of ​​the Platzl, Salzburg AG has to renovate district heating, water, electricity and gas pipes. For the duration of the work, residents and business those who operate have to expect noise and possible restrictions, but access to the shops remains guaranteed at all times. Pedestrians are safely directed around the completed construction site area, and the residents were informed in advance about the course of the work. In addition, “construction site cafés” are regularly planned to promote the exchange about progress and collect suggestions.

The construction work, which is carried out jointly by Salzburg Netz GmbH and Salzburg AG, started on April 8th. The first section extends from Bräuhausstraße to Josef-Gruber-Straße and will continue until the end of June. During this time, the Maxglaner Hauptstraße is closed to private transport, but access for residents remains possible at any time. The Obus continues to run regularly in this section. In the second construction phase, which takes place from June to the end of November, further lines will be laid between Josef-Gruber-Straße and Glangassen. This work runs from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., whereby those responsible are trying to reduce impairments for residents and traffic to a minimum, according to press.salzburg-ag.at .
