TGW Logistics exceeds billion: Successful year for Marchtrenker Technology
In the 2023/24 financial year, the technology company TGW Logistics, based in MarchTrenk, reached an important economic milestone by exceeding the sales brand of one billion euros for the first time. CEO Henry Puhl and CFO Clemens Bauernfeind presented this record at an event in the Grand Garage, an innovation room in the Linz tobacco factory. "Our sales grew by twelve percent, and we were able to increase the result (EBIT) from a slight minus in the previous year to a positive plus of around 30 million euros," said Puhl.
The company, which is known for its intralogistics systems, has specialized in offering solutions for medium-sized companies and large brands such as Zalando, Puma and Intersport. These positive developments are no coincidence; TGW also relies on social responsibility by flowing part of the profits into educational projects worldwide. In view of the reserved willingness of many companies in the current economic situation, Puhl believes in a positive turn: "Our forecasts show that the market should start again in 2025."
investments in the future
Another important aspect of corporate development is the increased budget for research and development, which has increased by 13 percent to more than 54 million euros. This corresponds to five percent of sales and shows that TGW invests in areas such as robotics, artificial intelligence and digitization. One of the latest developments is the innovative picking robot Rovoflex, which is to be presented in spring 2024. It should revolutionize the industry through autonomous work and without human interventions.
In addition, the infrastructure is also invested. On September 25th, the official groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of the headquarters in Marchtrenk was celebrated. TGW plans to put up to 100 million euros in a new production hall of 25,000 m² and a highly automated warehouse system by summer 2026 in order to meet future growth efforts. CFO farm enemy confirmed: "We believe in the location of Upper Austria."
with over 4,500 employees, around 100 of whom were re -discontinued in the past financial year, TGW shows that they want to look optimistically into the future and continue to drive growth. "We all order online regularly," explained Puhl, "and to ensure that these orders arrive quickly and reliably, powerful intralogistics is the key. Technology Made in Upper Austria ensures that companies can operate their customers worldwide."
Developments at TGW Logistics not only illustrate the economic success of the company, but also its commitment to innovation and social responsibility. More details on this core story can be found in a detailed report www.meinbezirk.at .
