Pichler running club shines with 42 podium and strong community spirit

Wels. The running club Pichl causes a stir in the region with its bright orange jerseys, regardless of whether for running, triathlon or bike competitions. This year the committed athletes were at 58 events and were able to achieve impressive 42 podium places.

The success of the running meeting extends over several countries, including Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and Germany. The hobby athletes not only shy away from the efforts of the competition, but also celebrate vigorously according to their achievements.

A special event was the 12-hour beefiz run in Prambachkirchen in favor of the Upper Austria Children's Cancer Aid. Here the eight -member season, sponsored by Wimmer Elektro, was able to take second place with a total output of 159.1 kilometers and thus set a sign of supporting children in need.

The "Orange Army" again triumphed at the Sparkasse Traunviertler Laufcup. Not only did participation there, but also the impressive title defense in the team classification - proof of their racy performance and their team spirit.

Another exciting project organized by the Pichl running club is the Pichler Innbachtallauf, in which 494 participants from young to old took part this year. For the next edition, the organizers have set themselves the goal of exceeding the 500 participant brand and further developing the run to bring even more sports enthusiasts to the region.

An additional highlight was the "Runmytrack" event, in which three families of the running club invited their home to new routes. Instead of starting at the middle school at 6 p.m. as usual at 6 p.m., the participants explored exciting routes from the members of the members. This not only promoted the community, but also encouraged the athletes to discover unknown areas.

The activities of the running meeting are not only sporty nature, they also strengthen the cohesion and joy in sport within the group. Even if you are often in the spotlight in the competitions, the fun and community education always stay in the foreground.
