Advent highlights in Steyr: Pop-up studio and art for children

In the festive Advent season, several events enliven the city square in Steyr. The Lebenshilfe Upper Austria workshop and Thomas Svoboda bring creative elements and products that are attractive for both locals and for visitors. These initiatives not only offer opportunities for shopping, but also to marvel and participate.

The Advent season is opened by the Lebenshilfe Upper Austria workshop, which offers a Christmas sales campaign from November 26th to 28th and from December 3 to 5. In the former Thalia branch at Stadtplatz 2, handicraft products such as ceramics and decorative items can be purchased. The facility manager Fritz Dascher expresses his joy: "We had good results with a pop-up sales stand for Easter and we are pleased that we have the opportunity to present our products again." The sales staff are supported by Lebenshilfe employees who sell the self -made articles.

creativity and art at the city square

Another exciting attraction is the studio gallery of Thomas Svoboda, which can be visited from December 2 to 28 at Stadtplatz 19. Visitors can look over the shoulder of the 64-year-old artist while painting and marvel at his realistic works, with some paintings look so alive that they look almost like photographs. "I am pleased that with my pop-up studio gallery I can be part of the Christmas atmosphere in the city center," explains Svoboda and invites interested parties to visit his gallery.

A special highlight for children is the installation "Kunst_raum der Stille", which is created by the artist Johannes Angerbauer Goldhoff in cooperation with the CityPastoral Steyr in the Marienkirche. This creative world of experience is open from November 24th to December 15th and offers the little ones the opportunity to become creative and discover when playing what can be "more precious than gold". The installation opens on Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

an unforgettable print experience

The “Silent Night” show printing for a nostalgic note, which opens its doors to visitors in the Siebensternhaus on Stadtplatz 30 from November 22 to December 22nd. On the weekends, guests can even experience how prints of the famous song "Silent Night" are created on hand -made paper on an old lever press. This experience can be a special memory or a gift for many. Christmas treats and drinks that contribute to the festive mood are also offered.

The TIC managing director Daniela Zeiner explains: "We support citizens who want to realize their business idea in the city center. We help with the search for premises and network the actors." This support illustrates the commitment to revitalize the city center of Steyr through creative and manual elements. The variety of offers creates an inviting atmosphere and promotes anticipation for the contemplative time.
